Welcome to the Long Point Basin Land Trust nature board. We welcome postings about nature sightings and experiences, identification questions and photos. Nature sightings are encouraged for Ontario’s central Carolinian Region and the Lake Erie shore. This includes Norfolk, Haldimand and Elgin Counties, as well as surrounding counties and areas.

Choose one of the three general topic areas to view or submit a posting (e.g., Birds). Then, if appropriate, choose a sub-category (e.g., Sightings) to see existing posts or to submit a new post in this category. (You can also submit posts in the general category, e.g., Birds, by clicking New Topic below the list of sub categories).

Simply click "New Topic" to submit a new posting. If you’d like to reply or comment on an existing post, click "Post Reply" when viewing the message. You can attach a file to your post (e.g., a photo) by scrolling down to the file attachment dialogue box below the main message box.

Please do not give the precise location for species at risk or species which may be prone to disturbance. For example, do not give exact locations for at-risk reptiles or nesting sites of rare birds. Reptile sightings should also be reported directly to LPBLT through LPBLT's online reptile reporting form.
